Springbok Betting Offers and Promotions

There is nothing better than getting a promotion or an offer for an event you want to bet on. We have some good news; Springbok betting offers do exist! Even so, due to the event only taking place once a year, this means that the offers will only arise nearer the time. You should be able to find things such as enhanced odds, or money-back guarantees, and of course you can bet using a forecast or tricast. What’s more, you can also check our list of greyhound betting sites and see which bonuses you can use to bet with, as usually these are available for all events.

Springbok Betting Odds Prices

As this event is one of the first big hurdle races of the season, Springbok betting odds reflect this. We analysed the past 10 finals and most online bookies offered odds in the range of 88%. This is because favourites were generally expected to win, or at least place, thus the margins reflected this. Of the past eight races, five have been won by favourites. Nevertheless, 2017 saw an 8/1 outsider win, so for an astute bettor the opportunity exists to cash in if they play their cards right. Research the form guides is our tip.

There have been some amazing races held over the years, and as a result, some top dogs have emerged from the race. What’s more some great trainers such as Seamus Cahill, and Mark Wallis have had considerable success here, with the former training the dog featured below.

Ballymac Manix

In one of the most memorable ever races held at the course, the superb greyhound, Ballymac Manix caused the shock of the decade by winning the 2016 edition. He downed Razdazl Raidio, the overwhelming favourite, to win superbly in what will go down as a vintage race. Those that were there that day will surely remember it fondly and no doubt relay the story for generations to come. He has had a respectable career with 22 wins from 68 runs, but none will beat the Springbok.

Historical info

First held in 1937 this race has a fantastic history. Until 1985 it was held at White City stadium, then at Wimbledon to 2016, until moving to Central Park in 2017.
